The monthly SEED session kicked of with a presentation on methodology by Tanzil Shafique.

The following discussion, chaired by Stephanie Butcher, picked up the notion of methodology and how the theoretical understanding of methods differed once the researchers were placed in their fieldwork context. Another major discussion point was the ethical aspect of using various methods and the difference between the normative ethical standards imposed by the university and the in-situ challenges faced by researchers.
